Spaghetti with meatballs and cheese
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. In a large bowl, beat the egg with 1/4 cup water, 1 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon pepper. Add half of the onion and half of the garlic. Mix in breadcrumbs, cheese, pork, turkey, and 1/2 teaspoon seasoning. Stir well. Shape into 16 meatballs. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add half of the meatballs and cook for 4 to 6 minutes. Add more oil and cook the remaining meatballs. Transfer the cooked meatballs to a dish. Add the remaining onion to the skillet and cook over medium heat until soft, about 5 minutes. Add the remaining garlic and 1/2 teaspoon seasoning, cook for 30 seconds. Season with salt and pepper. Stir in tomatoes and 3/4 cup water. Return the meatballs to the skillet, bring to a simmer, and cook over low heat until done, about 20 minutes. Remove the meatballs. Meanwhile, cook spaghetti in a large pot of boiling salted water according to package instructions. Serve spaghetti with the sauce, top with meatballs, and sprinkle with cheese. The dish is now ready to serve.
