
Spaghetti with broccoli
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. When making pasta with broccoli, the most important thing is not to overcook the pasta or make the broccoli too soft. The taste, color, and texture turn out amazing! I'm sure this simple yet delicious dish will appeal even to those who normally can't stand broccoli. Personally, this is exactly how I stopped hating broccoli—I cooked it, liked it, and now I happily eat it. So you could say this broccoli pasta recipe introduced me to this incredibly healthy vegetable :) Be sure to give it a try. The dish is ready to serve.

1. Clean the broccoli and cut into small cubes.

2. Place the broccoli in the water in which you will later cook the spaghetti, and boil for several minutes (it's better to steam them!). We need the broccoli to become soft.

3. Cook the spaghetti al dente. Reserve one cup of the pasta cooking water and set it aside. Drain the rest of the water—we'll use the pot for frying. Finely chop the onion.

4. Place butter in the bottom of a saucepan and add olive oil. Heat to medium temperature and sauté the onion for 5–7 minutes. Then add garlic and cook for another couple of minutes. Add broccoli, salt, and pepper, mix well, and cook for a few more minutes.

5. Add the cream, stirring, and simmer for 30 seconds. Then transfer everything to a blender and blend.

4. Transfer the prepared sauce and pasta back into the saucepan, add a cup of the reserved water, mix everything together, and cook for a couple of minutes over medium heat, stirring. Grate Parmesan on a grater.

5. Transfer the pasta with broccoli to a plate, generously sprinkle with Parmesan. The dish is ready! Enjoy!
