Prepare all the ingredients.

Wash the plum. Transfer it to a saucepan and pour in water just enough to barely cover the plum. Cook over medium heat until the flesh easily separates from the skin.

Remove all the pits, then blend the remaining pulp in a blender. After that, strain through a sieve until smooth.

Transfer the resulting mixture to a saucepan, add sugar, salt, and khmeli-suneli.

Finely chop the garlic and herbs, add to the pot. Simmer for 5–10 minutes.

Chop the walnuts finely. You can grind them in a meat grinder or simply chop them with a knife.

Add the nuts to the saucepan, stir. Bring to a boil and simmer for a couple more minutes.
