Description
Homemade sauce is easy and quick to prepare. These berries make an excellent sauce-appetizer. The consistency, aroma, color, and taste—all are perfect! The taste is a tangy, sour-sweet blend, an indescribable tkemali that will delight the whole family. The ingredients are simple, except for the main one: it's usually available only in summer and autumn. The finished sauce can be stored in the refrigerator for several days.

Wash the sloe berries and remove the pits. Add a glass of water, cook over medium heat for 5 minutes, stirring.

After this time, remove the berries from the heat, strain them through a sieve, and mix. Then boil for 20 minutes until a uniform mass is obtained.

While the mixture is cooking, toast the coriander in a dry skillet for about 5 minutes, then grind it in a coffee grinder. Grind the garlic and pepper in a meat grinder.

Add garlic, pepper, coriander, salt, chili pepper, sugar, and tomato paste to the plum mixture. Mix everything well and simmer the sauce over low heat for 20 minutes.
