Sauce at home
Description
Perfectly complements meat, poultry, and side dishes. Recently, there has been a growing interest in Asian cuisine. You're surely familiar with the famous "Teriyaki" sauce, which goes wonderfully well with meat, fish, and vegetables. Buying this sauce can be expensive, but it's easy to prepare at home. And even if you can't find rice wine or rice vinegar, or cane sugar, these ingredients can be replaced with more common alternatives. The sauce is ready. Store it in the refrigerator and serve with dishes.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Measure out all the required ingredients. Brown sugar is preferable, but regular sugar will work just as well. Instead of rice wine, we'll use wine vinegar. You can use fresh garlic and ginger, but then the sauce should be strained to remove the pieces.
- 2
Step 2

Dry roast sesame seeds in a pan until lightly browned, then add vegetable oil and fry for another minute.
- 3
Step 3

Add soy sauce, wine vinegar, sugar, garlic, and ginger to the pan. Mix well.
- 4
Step 4

And bring to a boil. Cook for one to one and a half minutes.
- 5
Step 5

Dissolve the starch in water. The sauce will not be very thick. To make it thicker, use 2 teaspoons of starch.
- 6
Step 6

Pour into the pan and, stirring constantly, bring to a boil. Cook for about 2 minutes.
- 7
Step 7

Now add the honey and stir the sauce until the honey is completely dissolved. If you used fresh ginger and garlic, it's time to strain the sauce and remove the pieces of garlic and ginger.
- 8
Step 8

Pour the cooled sauce into a jar; it can be stored in the refrigerator for 4-6 days.
- 9
Step 9

The sauce turns out to be sweet and sour, moderately salty, and suitable for many dishes and marinades.
