Sour cream sauce
Description
Minimal ingredients — excellent result. If you have capers, you can use them in this sauce instead of olives. However, olives are just as good at highlighting the delicate flavor of "Tartar." It's very important to choose fresh, high-quality eggs, good olive oil, and tasty medium-fat sour cream. Then the sauce will turn out absolutely superb! If you have ground paprika, you can add it to the sauce as well, giving it a delicate pinkish hue. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Boil one egg hard. Break a raw egg and separate the yolk from the white. We will need only the yolk. Add to it the cooled and finely chopped yolk of the boiled egg, and mix until smooth. Add sour cream and a pinch of salt.

Step 2

Now add two tablespoons of olive oil to the mixture. Add the minced garlic as well—preferably pressed through a garlic press. Also add mustard and pepper to taste.

Step 3

Try to cut the pickle into fairly small pieces so they are almost unnoticeable in the sauce. Finely chop the olives as well. If desired, you can grate these ingredients on a grater.

Step 4

Place the cucumber and olives into the sauce. The final step is lemon juice. Add it, mix everything well. Now the sauce is ready to be served.
