
Mushroom sauce
Description
A delicious addition to everyday and festive dishes. This time I prepared a mushroom sauce from mushrooms for beef steak. In my opinion, this is a perfect combination. This recipe can be used with other mushrooms, and sour cream can be replaced with heavy cream if desired, making the sauce just as tasty and tender. Serve the sauce with meat, fish, or use it as a salad dressing.

Wash the mushrooms thoroughly, dry them, and slice them. Fry in vegetable oil (1 tablespoon) until golden brown.

Peel the onion and chop it finely, then sauté in the remaining oil until golden brown separately from the mushrooms.

Combine the mushrooms and onions, add the flour, and mix well.

Now pour in the water or broth, mix, add sour cream, salt, and pepper. Simmer the sauce until it reaches the desired consistency.
