Another advantage of this method is that your sauce won't burn. This sauce reminds me somewhat of béchamel in taste, although in this Italian recipe milk is used instead of broth. You can serve it simply with side dishes, as well as alongside meat, poultry, or fish. It's perfect with pasta, meat, and vegetables.

    Prepare all the ingredients. If you have a specially equipped steamer, you can cook in it. You just need to turn on the steam mode and add water. If you don't have such an appliance, you can set up a makeshift steamer on the stovetop.

    Take a saucepan, a suitable pot, or an aluminum bowl. Add water to fill one-third of the container, then place a bowl or a small pot on top. The double boiler is ready. The stove heat should be set to medium. Bring the water to a boil and place a piece of butter into the bowl.
