Meat sauce
Description
Universal sauce for salads and hot dishes. Making meat sauce at home is actually very cost-effective, because you can use part of it right away and simply freeze the rest. That's exactly what I do: I serve the freshly cooked sauce with pasta, and portion the leftovers into containers to store in the freezer. Later, I use it for stuffing vegetables or baking various dishes. I think this simple meat sauce recipe can be used in many different ways—perhaps you have some interesting ideas too for what else to prepare with it. It's perfect with pasta, meat, and vegetables.

Next, place the tomato sauce in the pan, add bay leaf, oregano, and chili pepper, season with salt and pepper to taste if needed. Mix everything, cover the pan with a lid, and simmer the sauce over low heat for 3 hours. During cooking, check if there is enough liquid in the sauce; if it's too dry, add a little water.
