Instructions

Step 1

First, turn on the oven and preheat it to 200 degrees Celsius. Then proceed to prepare the ingredients. Rinse the required amount of chicken wings under cold running water, removing any remaining feathers left after machine processing. Next, dry them with paper kitchen towels, place them on a cutting board, and cut each wing at the joint into 2 parts, optionally removing the wing tips.

Step 2

Transfer the prepared wings to a heat-resistant baking dish or onto a non-stick baking sheet lined with a sheet of aluminum foil. Season them to taste with salt, ground black pepper, and let sit for 5–6 minutes. Then place the dish in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, and immediately start preparing the sauce.

Step 3

Peel the garlic cloves, place them on a clean cutting board, chop finely with a sharp kitchen knife, and transfer the chopped garlic to a small bowl. Using a manual or electric juicer, squeeze the juice of one lemon into the bowl, add liquid honey, black ground pepper to taste, and mix all ingredients with a spoon until smooth – the sauce is ready!

Step 4

30 minutes after baking begins, open the oven door, carefully pull out the baking dish, pour the lemon-honey sauce over the wings, and toss them so the flavorful mixture coats the chicken pieces evenly on all sides.

Step 5

Place the dish back in the oven for another 20–25 minutes, or continue baking the poultry until it reaches the desired level of browning.

Step 6

Honey-lemon chicken wings can be served hot or cold. If desired, each serving can be sprinkled with chopped green onions, fresh dill, parsley, cilantro, and toasted sesame seeds.
