
Sauce for baked meatballs
Description

1. First of all, you should, of course, prepare the meat mixture. Wash the meat, dry it, and pass it through a meat grinder. Add breadcrumbs and beat in an egg.

2. Clean and chop. Wash the green onion scallions, dry them, and finely chop. Grate the peeled ginger (set aside half of it).

3. Thoroughly mix the minced meat, season with salt and pepper to taste.

4. In a deep bowl, combine the tomato and plum sauce. Add a little hot sauce (for the stuffed cabbage rolls recipe in the oven, you can use minced chili pepper, for example). Mix well, add a pinch of salt or, if desired, sugar. Add the second half of the ginger.

5. Shape the minced meat into small meatballs, then place them on a baking sheet or in a baking dish.

6. Place the meatballs in the oven for about 15 minutes, until slightly browned. Then carefully remove them, pour the sauce over the top, and return the baking tray to the oven for another 15 minutes (timing may vary depending on the type of meat used). Once the sauce for the meatballs is ready, the dish can be served with a side dish and fresh herbs.
