
Sauce for cutlets
Description
A delicious addition to everyday and festive dishes. The sauce base consists of carrots, onion, and sweet pepper. We'll also add a bit of tomato sauce and spices for a very tasty result. The recipe is simple and budget-friendly. Even if you have leftover meatballs from dinner, the next day you can prepare this sauce, gently simmer the meatballs in it, and serve them as a new meat dish. Definitely save this recipe!

Prepare all the ingredients.

Peel the onion, rinse and dry. Cut the onion into small cubes.

Peel and rinse the carrots, then cut them into small strips.

Remove seeds and partitions from sweet peppers. Cut the peppers into small cubes or strips.

Heat the skillet, add a little oil, add the vegetables, and sauté for a few minutes, stirring.

Add tomato to the vegetables, sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste, then add the bay leaf.

Simmer the sauce for 15–20 minutes. Add a pinch of sugar at the end of cooking. Serve the ready meatballs either simmered in the sauce or simply drizzled with sauce over the meatballs and side dish.
