Description
The sauce takes just a few minutes to prepare. "Béchamel" is a classic, so every cook knows how to make it. There are various variations, for example, with mustard or turmeric. I suggest you try the traditional recipe. Give it a try. The sauce is ready. Store it in the refrigerator and serve with dishes.

1. Place a skillet over medium heat, add the butter and melt it. Add the flour and, stirring vigorously, cook for about 2 minutes until golden brown.

2. Gradually pour in the milk in a thin stream while continuously whisking to prevent lumps from forming. Cook the mixture for about 10 minutes until a thick mass forms.

3. Add nutmeg, salt, and grated cheese, and mix well. Cook the sauce for another 1–2 minutes, then remove from heat.
