Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Take the dough out of the freezer and let it thaw. Then roll it out into a thin sheet.
- 2
Step 2

Cut the sheet of dough into strips. Make as many strips as you have sausages.
- 3
Step 3

Slice the pickled gherkin into thin slices. You can bake the sausages without cucumber and without cheese, but they’re more interesting with them—give it a try.
- 4
Step 4

And slice the cheese in exactly the same way.
- 5
Step 5

And now we start shaping the sausage in dough. Take a cucumber slice, place it on the sausage, and wrap it spirally in a single strip of dough.
- 6
Step 6

When wrapping, you can stretch the dough slightly.
- 7
Step 7

Wrap the sausage with cheese the same way. Ideally, the edges of the cheese slice should not stick out on the sides: the cheese will melt and may all run out. You can pinch the edges of the dough closed.
- 8
Step 8

Place the "dressed" sausages on a baking sheet greased with vegetable oil. If you are using yeast dough, leave the sausages for 40 minutes so the dough can rise. If it is plain puff pastry, you can bake them right away.
- 9
Step 9

You can brush the sausages with beaten egg. Bake the sausages in dough in an oven preheated to 180–190°C for 30–40 minutes.
