Step 1

Pour cold water into a large pot. Place the pot on the stove and bring the water to a boil. Peel the potatoes and cut them into pieces of any size. Boil the potatoes in salted water until fully cooked.

Step 2

Also pour water into another saucepan and place the sausages in it. Put it on the stove and bring to a boil. Simmer the sausages over low heat for about five minutes. If desired, you can skip this step and not boil the sausages.

Step 3

Drain the water from the potatoes and, using a potato masher or blender, turn them into a puree. Then add sifted flour, semolina, and salt to the potatoes, and beat in a raw chicken egg. Knead into a smooth, uniform dough.

Step 4

Roll the dough into a sheet about a centimeter thick. It should not be very thin, or it will tear. Cut the dough into pieces the size of the sausages. Place the sausage products on the dough and wrap them, pinching the edges. If you want to make semi-finished products ahead of time, stop at this stage and put the sausages wrapped in dough in the freezer.

Step 5

Grease any convenient baking dish with soft butter. Beat a raw chicken egg with a fork. Place the sausages in dough in the dish, brush with the raw egg, and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake in the oven at 200°C for twenty minutes.
