
Sausages with sauerkraut in beer
Description
The dish is easy to prepare without unnecessary complications. You can use any beer, preferably wheat beer, or apple cider. This dish can be served on a plate or in a bun, resembling a hot dog. Choose sausages in natural casings, such as beef, veal, or pork. Serve the dish hot, and don't worry about a strong smell or alcoholic taste—you won't detect them, only a pleasant flavor and aroma. 1. Peel the onion and slice it into half-rings.

2. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan and place the sausages in it; fry them on all sides until golden brown.

3. Add onion, salt, ground pepper, and garlic powder to the sausages. Sauté until the onion becomes soft.

4. Pour the beer into the pan, add the mustard, and mix everything well.

6. Place the sauerkraut with all its juices into the skillet. Mix well, cover with a lid, and simmer over medium heat for about 15–20 minutes. Uncover during the last 5 minutes to allow excess liquid to evaporate. Add salt and paprika to taste.
