Description

The difference between ice cream and sorbet is that milk or cream is used to make ice cream, while sorbet is made with water, making the dessert low-calorie and perfect for hot weather. Sorbets can be made from all kinds of fruits and berries. The finished dessert can be served at the table.

1. To make a good cherry sorbet, choose ripe, fragrant, and firm cherries. Remove the stems, wash the cherries, and pit them.

2. Place the cherries in a bowl, pour in the lemon juice and water, and blend with an immersion blender.

3. If desired, filter the mixture through a sieve. The sorbet will become smoother after filtration.

4. Now add the sugar and mix the mixture well, allowing the sugar to dissolve slightly.

5. Place the sorbet into the bowl of an ice cream maker and freeze according to the manufacturer's instructions. Then transfer the sorbet to a container with a lid and place it in the freezer. If you don't have an ice cream maker, mix the sorbet with sugar and pour it into a chilled aluminum saucepan (previously cooled in the freezer). Place the saucepan in the freezer and stir every half hour until you achieve the desired consistency.
