
Malt crispbreads

Prepare all the ingredients.

Pour hot water over the malt, cover with a lid, and leave until completely cool. Then strain through a fine sieve or cheesecloth so that only the malt solution remains.

Grind the flax seeds and oat bran in a coffee grinder until they reach a flour-like consistency.

In a large deep bowl, combine rye flour, ground oat bran and flaxseed, salt, and baking powder.

Pour in the vegetable oil. Then gradually start pouring in the malt solution.

Knead a smooth dough. It should not stick to your hands; add more flour if necessary. Roll the dough into a ball, wrap it in plastic wrap, and leave it for 20 minutes at room temperature.

Roll out the dough to a thickness of 4–5 mm. Cut it into a rectangle and prick it with a fork. Bake the crispbreads for 15–20 minutes in an oven preheated to 185 degrees.
