Salted Orange-Cap Boletes

Description

Homemade preserves keep for a long time. Orange-cap boletes are handsome, firm mushrooms on tall stems. They are good for drying, frying, and pickling. At my dacha I have a real cellar where we put all our pickles. We salt mushrooms in a whole barrel, just like Grandma used to. In winter, such an appetizer is a huge hit.
