Salted cucumbers (cold method)
Description
A simple way to make pickles ahead of time. This old cold-brine cucumber pickle recipe is very simple and quick to prepare. Cucumbers made this way turn out like barrel pickles. If you do not use vodka, after 2 days drain the brine, strain through a sieve, bring to a boil and cool, then pour back into the jars. Cold-brine pickles keep well in a cool place such as a cellar. The recipe is for a 3-liter jar. Good luck! Jars can be stored for up to a year in a cool place.
