Juicy apple turnovers
Description
Delicious pastries for the whole family. Apple turnovers are my absolute favorite puff pastry treat. And the filling should be just right: not just apples, but apples caramelized in a mixture of sugar and cinnamon. These turnovers are pure magic! Let's make them together. Recipe ready. Pastry is done. Serve at the table.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Take the ready-made puff pastry out of the freezer in advance to let it thaw slightly.
- 2
Step 2

Cut the apples into small cubes. If the skin is soft, you don't need to peel it.
- 3
Step 3

Transfer the apples to a frying pan with heated butter, sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Simmer over low heat for 5-7 minutes.
- 4
Step 4

When the apples are caramelized, remove the pan from the heat.
- 5
Step 5

Cut the dough into rectangles approximately 5 by 10 cm. Lightly roll out each rectangle. Mentally divide the rectangle in half; place 1 tablespoon of apple filling on one half. On the second half of the dough, make longitudinal cuts.
- 6
Step 6

Cover the filling with the second half of the dough, pinch the edges.

Step 7

Place the prepared pastries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, brush with beaten egg or a mixture of yolk and milk. Put the pastries into a preheated oven at 200°C for 15-20 minutes. Bake until golden brown.

Step 8

Dust the ready-made pastries with powdered sugar.
