Juicy chicken fillet à la française
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. Recipe: the finished dish can be served at the table.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the necessary ingredients.
- 2
Step 2

Cut the chicken breast into thin slices (5-7 mm thick). You can leave the slices as they are, or you can pound them—this is optional.
- 3
Step 3

Slice the onion into thin half-rings. If you want the onion to be soft and tender, you can sauté it in vegetable oil until translucent (but no longer). I don't sauté the onion because I prefer it slightly crunchy and distinctly noticeable in the finished dish.
- 4
Step 4

Prepare the sauce. Mix sour cream with mayonnaise and hard cheese grated on a coarse grater.
- 5
Step 5

Then squeeze in a couple of garlic cloves, add paprika and ground black pepper, and season lightly with salt.
- 6
Step 6

Finely chop the dill, add it to the sauce. Mix everything well.
- 7
Step 7

Grease the baking dish with vegetable oil. Place half of the chicken breast on the bottom.
- 8
Step 8

Evenly spread half of the sauce on top.
- 9
Step 9

Place the onion.
- 10
Step 10

Then place the second half of the chicken breast.
- 11
Step 11

And spread the second part of the sauce.
- 12
Step 12

Generously sprinkle everything with cheese grated on a fine grater and bake in an oven preheated to 200°C for 25–35 minutes.
- 13
Step 13

The dish is ready! Serve hot!
