Rinse the quinoa thoroughly and drain in a colander. Let excess water drip off. Transfer the quinoa to a heavy-bottomed saucepan and pour in fresh water. The quinoa-to-water ratio should be 1:2. Cook the quinoa until done (about 20 minutes), then let it cool.

Slice the banana into rounds.
