Description

Homemade sauce is easy and quick to prepare. Sour cream sauce can be taken along on a picnic or outdoor trip, and served with shashlik, grilled meat, poultry, fish, etc.—it's versatile. To make it more filling, add boiled chicken eggs. Cilantro adds a particularly bright flavor, if you enjoy that herb in your sauce. You may use dried ground garlic instead—it's less pungent. The sauce is best prepared right before serving, though it can be stored in the refrigerator for several days.

    Prepare the listed ingredients. Rinse the fresh herbs and shake off excess moisture, then dry them with paper towels.

    Place the sour cream into a deep container with high sides, such as a blender jar. Add salt and ground black pepper. If you like other spices and seasonings, add them too, for example: French or Italian herbs, oregano, etc.

    Chop the dill finely and add it to the container with the sour cream. This herb perfectly enhances the creamy flavor and complements it.
