    To prepare the cream, gather all the necessary ingredients. Take the butter out of the refrigerator in advance and let it sit at room temperature until soft.

    Gradually add powdered sugar to the butter and mix it into the cream. I don't recommend substituting granulated sugar, as it is coarser and won't have time to dissolve in the cream.

    Gradually mix in the sour cream as well. You can slightly adjust the amount of sour cream. The less sour cream you use, the thicker and denser the cream will be. However, for honey cake, it's not recommended to make the cream too thick, as it might not properly soak the cake layers. Therefore, you shouldn't reduce the amount of sour cream. You can add a little more, depending on the fat content you've chosen.

    Fill the honey cake layers with the ready-made cream and wrap them in a ring. Press gently from the top to evenly distribute the cream between the layers. Refrigerate the cake until the cream sets and the cake takes the desired shape.
