
Layered sausage pie

Prepare all the ingredients.

Cut the sausages lengthwise in half, then cut each half in half again crosswise.

Roll out the dough into a circle and place it on a greased baking sheet or ovenproof dish. Arrange the sausages in a circle, inset from the edges.

Cover the sausages with the dough and pinch the edges.

Slit the dough between the sausages with a knife, then cut each sausage in half again. Turn the sausages so the cut ends face up as in the photo — you should get this kind of little flower shape.

Sprinkle grated cheese over the center.

Brush the dough with egg yolk, and sprinkle the cheese with sesame seeds. Bake in the oven at 180–200°C for about 20–25 minutes.
