Pastries
Description
Homemade pastries for tea. "Viennese" pastries can be a real lifesaver when you're craving something delicious but don't want any hassle, or if unexpected guests arrive. You can make them either from yeast dough or just puff pastry—using puff pastry reduces preparation time. Pastries made with yeast dough turn out more tender. You can choose any filling you like: dried fruits, apples, jam, or frozen berries (without thawing). It's better to cut the dough into portions before rolling it out, using a round pizza cutter. This will make rolling easier, as you'll only need to roll in one direction. Cut the strips at a 45-degree angle, which makes it easier to transfer the pastries onto the baking sheet. Serve warm or cooled. Perfect with tea.
