Perfect with tea and coffee. Puff pastries with fruit filling are an excellent treat for tea time, and most importantly, they are simple to make and do not take much time. Any homemaker can handle this kind of baking if she has frozen puff pastry, apples, and cherries, which can also be frozen. I suggest exactly this recipe for puff pastries: appetizing, crispy, soft. The baking is ready. Serve to the table.

    Prepare the ingredients for making puff pastries.

    Prepare the filling for the puff pastries. Wash the apple, peel it, remove the core, and finely chop it. Place it in a heavy-bottomed saucepan. Add pitted cherries. Add sugar to taste and stir. Put the saucepan on the stove and simmer the apples with the cherries for 7-8 minutes, stirring. Then dissolve the starch in 50 ml of cold water and pour it into the saucepan with the fruit. Stirring constantly, cook the apples and cherries until thickened. Turn off the stove and let the filling cool.

    Defrost the dough, lightly roll it out, and divide it into rectangles. I have two options for shaping the puff pastries.

    First option. Spoon the filling onto one edge of the dough rectangle. On the opposite side, make slits with a knife or a special pastry roller.

    Cover the filling with the opposite edge of the dough and seal the edges well. You can use an ordinary fork.

    Second option. Cut the dough into squares. Turn them so that they lie in a diamond shape. Place the filling on one corner, and on the opposite corner side make cuts with a knife, without cutting all the way to the edge.

    Place the puff pastries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a non-stick mat. Brush with beaten egg and put in the oven.
