Cheese pastries from ready-made puff pastry
Description
Probably every homemaker has at least once been saved by having ready-made puff pastry in the freezer—either before guests arrive or when craving something delicious. My recipe works perfectly for both occasions. Serve it warm or chilled. Ideal with tea.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the necessary ingredients. For this recipe, flaky yeast-free dough is best, as it will make the pastries very crumbly and delicious. Choose a cheese that melts well.
- 2
Step 2

Grate the cheese. The size generally doesn't matter, just not too coarse so that the cheese melts properly.
- 3
Step 3

Cut the dough sheet into rectangles approximately 5 by 8 cm.
- 4
Step 4

Place about 1 tablespoon of cheese on each piece.
- 5
Step 5

Fold the pastries in half, seal the edges. Brush the pastries with beaten egg or yolk and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- 6
Step 6

Bake the pastries in the oven for 15–20 minutes at 200 degrees. Attention: place the pastries in a preheated oven.
