
Cheese Puff Pastries
Description
The pastry is prepared simply and quickly. Excellent unsweetened flaky layers for breakfast or evening tea. Very simple and quick to make. Your loved ones will really like this pastry. It can be served with tea or coffee.

1. Defrost the ready‑made puff pastry. Roll it out into a thin sheet. Cut the pastry into rectangles about 12 × 2 cm. Slice the cheese into thin strips, slightly smaller than the pastry rectangles. This is necessary so that the edges of the pastry can be sealed together.

2. Place a slice of cheese on the rectangle of dough. On top of the dough place a second piece of dough. Pinch the short edges of the layers.

3. Roll the puff pastry into a spiral.

4. Preheat the oven to 180 °C. Spritz the baking sheet, where the pastries will be baked, with water. Place the spirals on the sheet. Separate the yolk from the egg and mix it with the cream. Brush the pastries with this mixture and sprinkle with sesame seeds. The pastries bake for about 20 minutes. If desired, the cheese can be grated and mixed with chopped herbs. You can also dice the cheese and ham into small cubes and fill the pastries with them. Any filling can be used.
