Puff pastries with nectarines
Description
Delicious baked goods for the whole family. The puff pastries are very easy to make. I offer two kinds that any home cook can manage. For the filling, add sugar to taste depending on how tart the nectarines are. When serving, you can dust the pastries with powdered sugar. They go wonderfully with tea, coffee, or milk. Serve cooled or slightly warm.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the ingredients for making puff pastries.
- 2
Step 2

Prepare the nectarine filling for turnovers. Wash the nectarines, remove the pit, and dice them into small cubes.
- 3
Step 3

Add sugar to taste.
- 4
Step 4

Add starch—it will thicken the nectarine juice while the dessert bakes and stop the dough from turning soggy.
- 5
Step 5

Mix the nectarines with sugar and starch.
- 6
Step 6

Thaw the puff pastry and roll it out slightly.
- 7
Step 7

Cut the dough into squares with sides 12 cm long.
- 8
Step 8

I made two kinds of puff pastries. First option. In one corner of the square of dough, make three cuts. In the opposite corner, place the nectarine filling.
- 9
Step 9

Fold the dough in half.
- 10
Step 10

Seal the pastry edges by pressing down with the tines of a fork.
- 11
Step 11

Second option. Visually divide the square of dough into two parts. On one part lay the filling; on the other part make slashes.
- 12
Step 12

Join the edges of the dough and seal them with a fork.
- 13
Step 13

Place the prepared puff pastries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- 14
Step 14

Brush the puff pastries with egg.
- 15
Step 15

Place in an oven preheated to 180–185°C. Bake the puff pastries for 25–30 minutes.
- 16
Step 16

The puff pastries with nectarines are ready. You can serve them at the table.
