
Puff Pastries with Pears and Nuts

Prepare all the ingredients.

Thaw the puff pastry at room temperature. Roll it out slightly and divide it into 8 rectangular portions. On each portion, make small rectangular cuts without cutting all the way through the dough.

Mix the cream cheese with the powdered sugar. Spread the cream cheese in the center of each pastry layer, without going past the edges of the cuts.

Wash the pear and, if desired, peel it. Remove the core and slice into thin pieces.

Place the pear slices on the puff pastry.

Coarsely chop the almonds.

Sprinkle the pastries with nuts and drizzle with maple syrup. Bake the pastries for 15–20 minutes in an oven preheated to 200°C.
