Pastries with feta cheese and tomatoes
Description
Homemade baked goods for tea. Thaw ready-made puff pastry. It doesn't matter which kind you use—yeast or non-yeast. Slice the tomatoes and feta cheese. Prick the puff pastry sheet with a fork, and use your fingers to form edges around the sides. Place the tomatoes and cheese on top, sprinkle with spices, and bake in the oven for 20 minutes at 190–200 degrees. Serve with tea or coffee.

Step 1

Thaw the dough on a floured surface. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Cut the tomatoes (preferably a mix – yellow, kumato, cherry) in half. If using large tomatoes, slice them into rounds.

Step 2

You can place the dough as a single sheet on a parchment-lined baking tray, if you bought one. I have 6 small sheets. I shape the edges to form borders and prick the dough inside with a fork.

Step 3

Place the sliced tomatoes on the dough.

Step 4

I cut the feta into cubes and place it on top of the tomatoes. Sprinkle with oregano and black pepper. Basil is welcome!
