Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the ingredients for making banana and chocolate pastries.
- 2
Step 2

Thaw the puff pastry in advance by placing it on the top shelf of the refrigerator for several hours. Then cut the dough into rectangles about 10 × 8 cm. If needed, dust the work surface (cutting board) with flour.
- 3
Step 3

Roll out each piece of dough into a rectangle. On one half of the dough, score it with a knife.
- 4
Step 4

On the part of the dough with no slits, arrange banana rounds and chocolate slices. Any chocolate works—milk or dark.
- 5
Step 5

Cover the filling with the free edge of the dough and seal it carefully. You can press the edge with a fork to make a pretty pattern. Seal all the pastries this way.
- 6
Step 6

Transfer the prepared pieces to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, and brush the puff pastries with egg yolk mixed with 1 tsp water.
- 7
Step 7

Bake the pastries in the oven at 200 degrees for about 15 minutes, until golden and puffed.
- 8
Step 8

Serve the finished banana and chocolate puff pastries when they have cooled slightly.
- 9
Step 9

Done. Serve to the table.
