Banana pastries
Description
The pastry is simple and quick to prepare. Banana turnovers are a lifesaver when you need to quickly make something for tea or coffee. Store-bought puff pastry really comes in handy in such situations. My daughter, a university student, loves working with this kind of dough. She enjoys baking with puff pastry, while mom's still busy with her pies. So here's the perfect solution. And making turnovers is very easy, especially with banana. You don't even need to sprinkle the banana filling with sugar, since bananas are sweet enough on their own. Finished turnovers can be dusted with powdered sugar. Let me tell you how.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

The dough is sold frozen, so open the package and, if the dough is in one sheet, unfold it as it thaws. If the package contains several rectangular sheets, simply lay them out one by one on the table.

Step 2

Peel the bananas and slice them into rounds. You can also cut them into strips. The cutting shape depends on the shape you want your pastries to be.

Step 3

Cut the dough sheet into squares. I usually get 12 squares. Place the sliced bananas on one half of each square.
- 4
Step 4

Cover the filling with the second half of the dough and carefully seal the edges of the pastry.
- 5
Step 5

Place the pastries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and put them in the preheated oven.
- 6
Step 6

Bake the pastries at 200 degrees for about 20 minutes until they turn golden and beautifully browned.
