Instructions
- 1
Step 1

First, let's prepare the chicken. You can simply boil it, but I decided to fry it in a pan with vegetable oil. I'm using half a chicken with bones. You can use chicken breast instead. Cut it into pieces and fry until cooked through.

Step 2

While the chicken is frying, let's prepare the vegetables. Peel the potatoes and onions, wash them, and then thinly slice. You can use a food processor, or simply slice them thinly by hand.
- 3
Step 3

The potato slices turned out too large, let's cut them into strips.
- 4
Step 4

Mix the prepared potatoes and onions with spices, salt, and pepper.
- 5
Step 5

Take the dough out of the freezer and let it thaw. Then divide the dough into two unequal parts. One part should be 2/3 of the dough.
- 6
Step 6

Fry the chicken, let it cool, then remove the meat from the bones. Cut into pieces.
- 7
Step 7

Roll out the larger piece of dough to fit the size of the baking pan.
- 8
Step 8

Evenly distribute the potatoes with onions over the dough.
- 9
Step 9

Then we lay out the pieces of meat.
- 10
Step 10

Roll out the remaining dough and cover the pie with it. Trim off the excess dough. Use it to make decorations for the pie—braids, leaves, flowers. Crimp the edges of the pie and brush the top with beaten egg.

Step 11

Bake the pie in a preheated oven at 200 degrees Celsius for about 20 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 180 degrees and continue baking for another 20–25 minutes. Your pie should turn out beautifully like this.
