Instructions

Step 1

1. Wash and peel the potatoes and carrots. Grate them on a coarse grater and place in separate containers, without mixing. Peel the onion and slice into half-rings. Cut the salmon into small pieces.

Step 2

2. Marinate the fish in a mixture of 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, salt, and spices. Sauté the carrots and onions in a small amount of vegetable oil until soft. Transfer them to a plate and let cool. Add a tablespoon of oil to the skillet, along with minced garlic and a tablespoon of lemon juice, then fry the potatoes over high heat for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. At the end of cooking, add salt and spices to taste. Let cool as well.

Step 3

3. Line the bottom of the pan with parchment paper (or foil), then place the previously thawed puff pastry on it (about 2/3 of the pastry). Put the filling on the pastry, leaving about two centimeters from the edges. The first layer should be the completely cooled potatoes.

Step 4

4. Evenly distribute the salmon over the potatoes, then cover it with a layer of onion and carrot, spreading them evenly across the entire surface of the future pie.
- 5
Step 5

5. Lift the edges of the dough, fold them inward over the filling. Place the remaining dough on top, previously roll it out slightly, and make cuts with a sharp knife (as shown in the photo). Brush the top of the pie with beaten egg.

Step 6

6. Place the pie pan in a preheated oven and bake at 210-200°C for 45-60 minutes. After 20-30 minutes of baking, check the pie: if the top is browning too quickly, cover it with foil to prevent burning. The layered pie with red fish is ready!
