
Cherry turnovers
Description
For your attention, a classic recipe for making cherry turnovers. As a filling, you can use either fresh or frozen cherries. I used frozen ones, previously thawed at room temperature. Also, prepare in advance the puff pastry dough, from which we will later shape our turnovers. Step-by-step photos of making cherry turnovers are included. Good luck! Serve cooled or slightly warm.

Cut the defrosted cherries into pieces. In a saucepan, mix them with sugar and starch.

Simmer over low heat until thickened, stirring constantly. Then cool to room temperature.

Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into pieces. Place them on baking paper.

Place the filling in the center of each piece.

Secure the edges of the future buns firmly with a fork.

Beat the egg with a small amount of water. Brush the buns with the mixture. Bake for 20-25 minutes in a preheated oven at 200 degrees.
