
Layered pastries with cottage cheese
Description
The pastry is simple and quick to prepare. Guests are at your doorstep, and you don't know what to treat them with for tea? Cheese-filled pastries are an excellent solution, especially if you already have ready-made puff pastry. It only takes forty minutes. Try treating your family to these little pies—they will undoubtedly appreciate your efforts. Serve them cooled or slightly warm.

1. The base for the buns is puff pastry. You can also use puff yeast dough. I usually make it in advance and store it in the freezer. If you don't want to bother making the dough, you can buy it at any supermarket or grocery store.

2. In a separate container, mix the cottage cheese, egg, dried apricots, and prunes. Raisins can be added optionally.

3. Add sugar, including vanilla sugar, to the base. Roll out the dough and cut it into small rectangles about 3 mm thick.

4. Place the filling in the center and brush with egg.

5. Fold the pastry into a triangle and brush the top with egg as well.

6. Bake the pastries for no more than 20 minutes at 170 degrees.
