Puff pastry for
Description
The pastry is simple and quick to prepare. Here is my easy recipe for puff pastry for "Napoleon." In my opinion, the result is a very beautiful, delicious, and neat cake. The layers might seem too thick at first glance, but that's not the case: when cut, each layer reveals many thin layers inside, which gives the famous "Napoleonic" cake its distinctive character. Serve cooled or slightly warm.

Step 1

1. Here are the basic ingredients. True, there are a few others here that I use to make the cream, but that's a completely different recipe. Pour the water into a glass and put it in the freezer; the butter, on the contrary, should be taken out to thaw and soften slightly. Sift the flour.

2. Now, crumble the butter into the mound of flour with a knife, quickly rub it in with your hands until it forms crumbs. Then add the egg and water, and mix again. Next, add salt and vinegar, mix thoroughly, and form a smooth dough. Divide the dough first into two pieces, then each piece into 2 or 4 parts, depending on the height and diameter you want for your cake layers.

Step 3

3. Now roll out each cake layer once again and bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 15 minutes. Then let cool, spread each piece with cream, and stack them on top of each other.

Step 4

4. I usually trim the cake around the edges to make it perfectly round, then grate the scraps and use them to sprinkle over the cake. It turns out both beautiful and delicious. I recommend it to everyone!
