Plum jam with cocoa
Description
A simple preserving recipe. This unusual plum jam with cocoa and peanuts takes about 2 hours to make. First, turn the plums into puree, then cook them with cocoa, sugar, nuts, and butter. The result will delight even the pickiest sweet tooths.

Step 1

1. A very unusual recipe for plum jam. In this case, besides the fruit, you will also need cocoa, peanuts, and butter.

Step 2

2. Wash the plums thoroughly and cut them in half. Remove the pits and run them through a meat grinder.

Step 3

3. Separately, grind the nuts. Also mix the sugar and cocoa.

Step 4

4. The plum purée now needs to be cooked through. You can do this in a saucepan on the stove, or in a multicooker. That’s what I decided to do. Cook the plum purée on the “Stew” setting (15 minutes total).

Step 5

5. Add cocoa powder and butter to the plum mixture. Cook, stirring constantly to prevent lumps.

Step 6

6. At the very end, add the nuts and butter. Sometimes I also add a bar of chocolate—it gives the jam even more piquancy and aroma.

Step 7

6. This is the beautiful homemade plum jam with cocoa we end up with. You can seal it in jars and store it in the cellar, pantry, or refrigerator.
