Butter spread with ham
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Interestingly, in Italy, creamy pasta with ham is served not as a main course, but as a first course—meaning instead of soup, by our standards. Only after that do they serve fish or meat. However, personally, I don't follow this tradition, so in our family, creamy pasta with ham is a standalone hot dish, usually prepared on a weekday for dinner. Come home from work, quickly whip it up—and it's delicious. When I cook for my husband, I add extra ham :) Good luck with your cooking! Serve hot.

Pour olive oil into the frying pan, making sure it completely covers the bottom, and heat over medium heat.

Sear the ham until it turns brown.
- 4
Step 4

Add garlic, sauté until it becomes soft.

Add the canned tomatoes in their own juice (pour the juice into the pan as well), sprinkle with ground red pepper. Simmer over low heat for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Pour about 1/2 cup of vodka and mix. Simmer over low heat for another 15 minutes.

Step 8

Add 1 cup of cream. Keep on very low heat. Meanwhile, the pasta should be ready; drain it in a colander.
