Description
Homemade sauce recipe. This homemade tea sauce tastes similar to sweetened condensed milk. It will definitely be a hit with children if served with various baked goods such as buns, cookies, toast, or croutons. Serve the sauce with meat or fish, or use it as a salad dressing.

Bring water to a boil in a kettle and steep strong tea for about 3-5 minutes.

Pour milk of any fat content into a saucepan or small cauldron, add brewed tea, sugar, and wheat flour. Optionally, add vanilla sugar or any flavoring to give the sauce a distinct taste.

Whisk in the flour and place the container on the stove. Add high-quality butter. Cook the sauce over heat until slightly thickened, about 5–8 minutes.

Keep in mind that the sauce will thicken further as it cools, so do not overcook it. Turn off the heat and strain the sauce through a sieve.
