Description

Very tasty, juicy, and tender fish with filling, topped with a cheesy crust... are you already drooling? This original way of preparing fish allows you to create a delicious and impressive dish for a festive table. The filling can vary, depending on your taste preferences. I suggest you try this rather simple recipe. It includes both instructions and visual guidance.

Instructions

  1. 1

    Step 1

    Step 1

If you have frozen fish, thaw it first.

  2. 2

    Step 3

Now, use scissors to cut the backbone near the head and near the tail. Remove the backbone along with the bones and internal organs.

  4. 4

    Step 4

    Step 4

Rinse the fish thoroughly, making sure to remove the black membrane. Remove any remaining bones. Dry the fish with paper towels, sprinkle with lemon juice, and lightly season with salt.

  5. 5

    Step 5

    Step 5

Boil the rice almost until done.

    Step 9

Sauté the onion, carrots, and mushrooms in a pan with vegetable oil until cooked. Lightly season with salt.

  10. 10

    Step 10

    Step 10

Now let's move on to the filling: place the sautéed vegetables with mushrooms into a bowl, add rice, corn, chopped herbs, and spices. I like adding Provence herbs to fish.

  11. 11

    Step 11

    Step 11

Mix all the ingredients for the filling; you can season with salt and pepper to taste.

  12. 12

    Step 12

    Step 12

Place the fish on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and lightly greased with vegetable oil. Fill the mackerel cavities with the stuffing, pressing it down slightly. Bake in a preheated oven at 180-200 degrees Celsius for about 15-20 minutes.

  13. 13

    Step 13

    Step 13

Grate the cheese on a coarse grater.

  14. 14

    Step 14

    Step 14

We take out the fish and generously sprinkle it with cheese. Then we put it back to bake for another 5-10 minutes.

Place the cooked fish on a plate and serve hot.
