Description
In winter, you can simply eat this mackerel with a spoon straight from the jar, serve it as an appetizer for a holiday table, or use it to make various salads. Everyone will love this fish—it is simply outstanding. It can be served warm or chilled.

Prepare the ingredients. Thaw the fish. Sterilize a 0.5-liter jar using any convenient method.

Clean the fish, remove the innards, rinse, and pat dry. Cut the fish into small, portion-sized pieces.

Place a bay leaf, some carrots, and pepper at the bottom of a sterile jar.

Fill the jar with mackerel.

Put sugar and salt into the jar, pour in the oil.
