Mackerel in the oven
Description
The recipe won't take much time. This dish is great because with minimal effort you get an excellent lunch or dinner for the whole family. Along with the fish, you can bake a variety of vegetables, which will make a wonderful side dish. Mackerel itself doesn't require special marinades or lots of spices—it's tasty and rich on its own. So I highly recommend you remember this recipe. Serve hot.

Step 1

1. The preparation stage is very simple and doesn't take much time. First, wash the herbs thoroughly and dry them well. Clean the fish, removing the innards, fins, and, if desired, the head. Prepare a heatproof baking dish, place the herbs on the bottom, then put the fish on top. Peel the garlic, chop it finely, and sprinkle it over the mackerel.

2. Next, add salt and your favorite spices to taste. Pour a little olive oil and white wine into the baking dish for a more intense flavor and aroma. Squeeze lemon juice and carefully place the lemon inside the cavity. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 15 minutes.

3. Carefully remove the foil and bake the fish for another 7-10 minutes. It is important not to overcook it, so keep an eye on the mackerel's doneness during the final stage.
