Scones
Description
The baked goods are quick and easy to make. You may be surprised, but English cuisine is not only fish and chips or eggs with bacon :) There are plenty of genuinely interesting dishes in it too—for example, scones. Scones are small buns made from non-yeast dough and are traditionally served with tea. If you love baking, why not try them for something different?:) Serve warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Beat two eggs with granulated sugar and vanilla sugar until light and foamy.
- 2
Step 2

Without stopping whisking, pour in the milk in a thin stream. There should be even more foam. 🌟
- 3
Step 3

Into another bowl sift the flour, add butter in small cubes, salt and baking powder.
- 4
Step 4

Rub the flour and butter together with your fingers until the mixture forms crumbs.
- 5
Step 5

Now, as you may have already guessed, combine the flour mixture with the milk mixture and very quickly knead the dough.
- 6
Step 6

Add raisins to the dough.
- 7
Step 7

From the shaped dough, form the buns by hand or with a spoon. They should be small.
- 8
Step 8

Transfer the buns you shaped to a lightly floured, greased baking sheet. Brush the tops with beaten egg yolk and bake in an oven preheated to 180 °C.
- 9
Step 9

Bake for about 25 minutes, until golden. The scones are ready! 🙂 Put on the kettle and enjoy.
