Passion fruit syrup
Description
The recipe won't take much time. This syrup can be used to make ice cream, soufflés, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. It's also excellent for soaking sponge cake layers that will later become a cake or pastries. The syrup works well as a base for sauces or marinades for meat. 1. First, cut the passion fruit in half and scoop out the pulp with a spoon. Then strain it through a sieve to remove the seeds. 2. Place sugar into a saucepan, add purified water and the fruit pulp. Set the pan over medium heat and bring to a boil, cooking until the sugar crystals completely dissolve. 3. Reduce the heat to the lowest setting and simmer for about fifteen minutes to evaporate excess liquid. 4. Pour the syrup into another container, cover with a lid, and cool to room temperature. Then place it in the refrigerator. The perfect syrup for desserts and drinks is ready. Serve chilled.
