Description

The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. In fact, many underestimate this berry, and when its ripening season arrives, the rowanberries just keep hanging on the branches until they fall off. But I never pass by its shrubs, carefully collecting every single berry, because later I can make the most delicious aronia syrup at home. The taste of this drink turns out to be incredibly amazing, and its aroma is so bright that hardly anyone can guess right away what it's made from. This syrup can be used not only as a beverage but also in baking or preparing various infusions. So if this berry grows at your friends' place or on your property, don't ignore it—now you'll know how to make aronia syrup. The finished dessert can be served at the table.

After 24 hours, we separate the liquid from the berries, pour the syrup into a saucepan, and the remaining rowanberries can be used to make jam.

    Step 7

Add sugar to the saucepan with the syrup.

    Step 8

Place the pot back on the heat. As soon as the liquid comes to a boil, simmer the syrup for 3 minutes, then remove the pot from the heat. Pour the hot syrup into sterilized jars and seal them with lids. Wrap the jars in a blanket or towel and leave them until completely cooled. After that, transfer them to a dark, cool place for storage.
