Shukrut
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. Shukrut, despite the abundance of ingredients, is very simple to make but requires time—about 1.5 to 2 hours. I assure you, the effort will be worth it, and your family or guests will be grateful. There are no strict rules in preparing shukrut. This dish is quite democratic. You can use any meat, any smoked sausage. Instead of wine, you can add beer. Include potatoes or leave them out. The same goes for spices. According to European recipes, juniper berries are added to shukrut, but this exotic ingredient isn't always available in supermarkets. And even without juniper, the result is extraordinarily aromatic and incredibly delicious. The finished dish can now be served.
